Embossing And Stock Considerations

Today i went to pick up my embossing plate and went to test out some stockes to see which would work best and give a few different examples for Steph to look at.

I chose to do a embossing and de-bossing on the same plate to give Steph options to see what she liked best and or both. The plate came out really well so i brought some stock down to Vernon to have a quick play witha range of stocks i was considering.

This stock above is called STORM and has grey colours hair like grain to it. add more depth to the stock and creates like a homemade and more crafted feel to it than a flat colour.

For some reason the plate didn't work on the top row so i'm not sure whether it was the placement of the plate in the machine.

Above is a simple grey board. the thickness is ideal for a business card and it also has a slight grain which i think the client will like.

Next is the Rose Grey which has the same grainy finnish as the Storm but much lighter. I really like both of these stocks and i think they work together really well.

This final one is very much like a hand made paper. It has like a rough feel to it and if riddled with different colours throughout.
